A Home Buyer's Roadmap.
Buying a home is a meaningful decision, not a complicated one. The path moves through four straightforward phases — and a member of our team is with you for every conversation, decision, and signature along the way.
Plan together.
Before you look at a single listing, we sit down with you to talk through your budget, walk through the loan options that fit your situation, and get you preapproved. You leave the conversation knowing exactly what you can offer — and how to show up as a serious buyer when the right home appears.
Find the home.
With a preapproval in hand and the right agent at your side, the search begins with intention. When you find the one, we help structure an offer that's competitive on terms a seller will take seriously — without overextending you.
Communication between your loan officer and your realtor can sometimes be disjointed. Pair a Douglas Elliman agent with an Elliman Capital loan officer and you get one cohesive team — clear handoffs, shared context, and a seamless process from offer to close.
Move through underwriting.
Once you're under contract, we handle the mechanics — the appraisal, the inspection coordination, the documentation. Our in-house underwriting and processing experts tell us exactly what's needed to get your loan closed, so you'll know what we need and when, in plain language. No jargon, no chasing.
Close on your new home.
On closing day, you sign, we fund, and you collect the keys. We make sure your final numbers match the Loan Estimate we showed you on day one. Then we hand you the keys.
Every buyer's path is a little different. Our job is to walk it with you.
